What is panoramic X-ray?
Panoramic X-ray is a picture made on radiology and on which the
whole state of the upper and lower jaw is completely visible. You
can make it in your closest dental studio that has radiology.
An example of it is the following picture:
It doesn't metter if the panoramic X-ray is made in classical or
digital form. If it is made in classical form you must scan on your
scanner so that you could make a file out of it, which you can then
e-mail to us. If it is made in digital form the staff of the dental
studio in which you have made it, has to put it on a certain media
like a CD, memory stick or something else, so that you could send
it to us by e-mail.
It is necessary that the patience, before making a panoramic X-ray
picture, pull out of the mouth every mobile and semi-mobile parts
of prostesis, remove earrings from ears, piercings and any other
removable metal parts on and in patience head. .
How can I send my panoramic X-ray
picture to Dental Adriatic?

What are dental implants?
A dental implant is an artificial tooth root. Where normally the
own root gives the tooth stability, the new “root” is inserted directly
into the jaw bone, i.e. implanted.
In the same way as natural roots retain the teeth, implants can
support either individual crowns or bridges over the complete jaw,
or a bridge which is connected to the remaining natural teeth. This
way, you will have fixed permanent teeth again.

Which material do the implants consists
of?
The implants are exclusively made of pure Titanium. The human body
accepts titanium, a totally resistant material, completely. It is
biocompatible and stable. Therefore

What benefits will dental implants
offer?
“There is nothing better than your own natural teeth!” If you, however,
for one reason or another stand at the brink of making a decision
for choosing a tooth replacement, you principally have two choices:
the first would be dentures. This artificial prosthesis rests on
the toothless jaw bone, but does not find a true stability. The
patient feels he is wearing a foreign body in his mouth.
The second choice is a convincing alternative: dental implants
replace the tooth root and serve as stable support of the crowns
or bridges. This means: Dental implants offer a permanent fixed
tooth replacement. Not only the appearance, but also the safe feeling
of natural teeth is restored.
Another advantage of dental implants is the prevention of early
bone resorption. When teeth are missing, the bone will resorb due
to lack of stimulation by chewing, same as with dentures. The result:
The prosthesis will not find retention. This is not the case with
dental implants.
In which cases are dental implants
recommended?
The complex implant systems offer multiple solutions, for part of
the jaw or complete jaw restorations.
Dental implants are the treatment of choice in cases of single tooth
replacement, especially in case of an accident. Traditional dentures
would require the trimming of healthy neighboring teeth for the
artificial crown. Dental implants save the adjacent natural teeth.
Therefore, dental implants are recommended for any age.
How is a implantological treatment
arranged?
Implantological treatment is arranged according to results in the
following steps:
• Insertion of the implant
• Healing of the jaw
• Impression taking
• Denture trial
• Insertion of the final denture

How long does dental implantation treatment
last?
Every person is different and unique, and so is the personal oral
situation, which your dentist will examine carefully in order to
make out a treatment plan. The general health situation also plays
a major role.
The actual duration naturally depends on the number of implants.
While implants used to take 5 – 6 months to heal, science has clearly
achieved the goal of reducing the regeneration period with the FBR®
surface. FBR® stands for Fast Bone Regeneration, because these implants
help new bone grow faster. The FBR® surface is also applied to the
(titanium) implant coating and makes restoration with a crown possible
just 6 weeks after the implant has been inserted. The new tooth
is fully functional. When several implants are inserted, a temporary
bond is made with a bridge, making it possible to gradually increase
the load on the implants during healing.
The rapid healing of FBR® implants also enhances safety, especially
for patients with osteoporosis or weak bone caused by old age, for
whom an implant insertion was not previously possible for medical
reasons. The surface is made of synthetic biological calcium phosphate,
so even allergic reactions can be ruled out.
To help you progress towards final care, there are various possibilities
for a provisional denture. Your implantologist will have more information.
Which conditions and risks should be
considered?
The optimal care of your own teeth should be an important goal for
your health. Dental implantation requires not only healthy bone
of sufficient quantity, but also excellent oral hygiene. A pre-check-up
of your physician or internist – especially with regard to common
health problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes etc. – and
regular recall “post-op” check-ups after the implantation and control
of the occlusion, i.e. the bite position of your teeth in both jaws,
are recommended.
